by Ryan Harper

Pacific BioLabs is proud to announce successful accreditation for ISO 17025:2017, General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, through the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board.  PBL’s accreditation for ISO 17025:2017 replaces PBL’s past certifications for ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 and is considered more appropriate for a CRO. The scope for PBL’s 17025 accreditation includes:

·         Biocompatibility Testing

·         Chemical Characterization by ISO 10993-18

·         Bioassays

·         Cleaning and Disinfection Validation

·         Cytotoxicity  Testing

·         Antimicrobial Effectiveness Tests

·         Bacteriostasis/Fungistasis

·         Sterility and Sterility Assurance

·         Bioburden

·         Microbial Enumeration Testing for Specified Microorganisms

·         Chemical tests, Including Conductivity and Total Organic Carbon

Continued process improvement is crucial to PBL’s mission to be The Service Leader in Bioscience Testing, and switching to ISO 17025 is an example of PBL’s dedication to improving service and quality to PBL clients. The scope of accreditation is affirmed in the public domain on the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board website via the following link:
